Just a Reminder…Your automatic home standby generator is designed to run indefinitely during a power outage. But what if your power is out not just for days, but for weeks? How can you help your generator continue to back up your home without a hitch?

The short-term answer is simple: check the engine oil. If your home standby generator has been running for a few days — and you expect it to be running for at least a few more — turn it off long enough to check the engine oil. If it’s low, top it off with the oil recommended in the owner’s manual. Then turn it back on again. Do this every 24 hours until utility power returns.

But you should consult your owner’s manual for the complete maintenance schedule, and perform any routine maintenance required during and after operation. If you’re uncertain, contact us and we would be happy to help.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Later this month we will celebrate Thanksgiving. I would like to take this time to say we are thankful to have you as a customer! Here’s to wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
